Defensive Line/Offensive Line Coach

John Vargyas is a Chicagoland native and attended St. Francis high school. In his decorated high
school career Coach Vargyas was a 3-year varsity starter, a 3-time all-conference and 2-time all-
area Linebacker, he also led his team in tackles for two consecutive seasons.

Coach Vargyas started his collegiate football career at Purdue University before transferring to
his alma mater Wheaton college as a linebacker and long snapper. Vargyas started every game
of his career while at Wheaton.

In 2022 Coach Vargyas joined the GAC coaching staff and currently serves as the Defensive Line
and Long Snappers coach.
